How to Save Hundreds of Dollars

You can save up to $499 when you book directly with the property owner

You can save up to $499 when you book directly with the property owner

You can save hundreds of dollars on your vacation rental when you book directly with the property owner.

VRBO, HomeAway and other gigantic online booking agencies are now adding their own “service fee” to your rate quote—up to $499! This is out of the hands of the property owner.

Instead of booking through one of these global online booking agencies, search for local vacation rental listing websites. Chances are they do not add a fee.

Another smart option is to search for a property’s own website by property name and location, like “Casa Mar Azul in San Pancho.”

Of course, do your due diligence. Ask the owner about the rental policy, payment methods and terms, damage deposits, cancellation policy, any fees for housekeeping or other services, and check-in and check-out times.

Also ask any questions about the property.

When you book directly with the owner, you’ll not only save money, you may receive insider recommendations for dining, shopping and activities.

With the money you save, you can stay longer!
