Doing nothing is highly respected at Casa Mar Azul (we are masters at it!). Yet we encourage you to explore this magical pueblo and meet some of the wonderful people. Here are a collection of things to do that leave plenty of time for an afternoon siesta.

Entreamigos translates to “among friends.” You are welcome to explore, shop, eat—and volunteer!
Tour Entreamigos, San Pancho’s beloved community center, gallery, boutique, bilingual library, language school, sports center, cafe, recycling center and thrift store.
Even the Dalai Lami was inspired to honor its founder Nicole Swedlow as an Unsung Hero of Compassion in 2014. Don’t miss this!

You might spot a Military Macaw during a sunset birding tour with Birding San Pancho
Sunset birding ecotour with Birding San Pancho. A bilingual guide provides binoculars and leads groups of 2 to 9 people to spot tropical birds in their late afternoon habitats. The tour runs approximately 2.5 hours.

San Pancho’s weekly market, San Pancho Mercado Artesanal, is every Tuesday, November-April, from 9:30 to 2:00 in Plaza del Sol (across from the church). Vendors and artists sell crafts, jewelry, textiles, local produce, food (eat there or take home), clothing, hats and more. Live music too!

Cheer turtle hatchlings as they scramble to the ocean (seasonal). San Pancho Turtles releases them just before sunset on the beach at the end of Av. Tercer Mundo
Turtle hatchling releases are a must-see. San Pancho Turtles, also known by its Mexican name Grupo Ecologico, has released more than one million hatchlings!
